How to add navigation bar on Galaxy Fame

Hello guy's, welcome back, today i'm going to show you how to add on screen navigation bar on samsung galaxy fame.

If you look at newer android smartphones, most of them is lack of physical navigation buttons, instead they use on screen navigation bar.

The on screen navigation bar is actually a part of android jelly bean feature, so basically we can also apply this on samsung galaxy fame.

Alright here's stuff you'll need for this tutorial :
  1. samsung galaxy fame with root
  2. root explorer app
  3. little bit of courage :)
Step by step how to add navigation bar on galaxy fame :
  • open root explorer
  • mount as r/w (read and write), grant or allow if asking for root permission.
  • go to /system folder
  • you should see buil.prop, press long and select "Open in Text Editor"
  • scroll down and add this codes :
#enable navbar
qemu.hw.mainkeys=0
  • save and exit
  • reboot/restart the phone

Now you should see the on screen navigation bar, you can move around with both on screen navigation keys and the physical keys.

To remove the navigation bar, simply delete the qemu.hw.mainkeys=0 and then reboot, or set the qemu.hw.mainkeys=1.

~ enjoy ~
